Heading down to The Tennessee Theatre with the kids on Friday to see Daniel Tiger? As a special addition to the event, Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) will have a real trolley stationed in front of the theater starting at 4:00 p.m. The trolley will be available both before and after the show to allow Daniel Tiger fans to hop on and sit inside. Parents can get information on where the free downtown trolley system runs, and even take a ride after the show on the Green, Blue, or Orange Line Trolley routes.
KAT’s free downtown trolleys operate Monday – Saturday, with service until 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings. Service runs throughout downtown, including The Old City and Civic Coliseum areas, and the Orange Line even runs from downtown through UT’s campus. Trolleys run every 8 to 10 minutes (Blue and Green Lines) to every 15 minutes (Orange Line).
