Beginning today, August 25, 2025, the approved revisions to Route 1: Downtown Connector and Route 16: Cedar Bluff/Middlebrook are in effect.
Route 1: Downtown Connector has expanded its routing to provide service to Covenant Health Park and the Old City. Two (2) new stops are in effect at Covenant Health Park on Willow Avenue and Willow Avenue WB at Central Street. Route 1 will maintain 15-minute service, and no existing stops have been removed. Please see the map below for the new routing.
Route 16: Cedar Bluff/Middlebrook has expanded its routing to provide access to the Dowell Springs Community. This routing will only apply Monday through Friday from the hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Outside of these times, Route 16 will be on its usual routing. The four (4) new bus stops in effect are as follows:
- Old Weisgarber Road NB before Lonas Spring Drive (near FamilyCare Clinics)
- Old Weisgarber Road NB after Lonas Spring Drive (near Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic and East TN Behavioral Health)
- Dowell Springs SB before Lonas Spring Drive (near Peninsula Outpatient Clinic and Thompson Cancer Survival Center)
- Dowell Spring SB after Lonas Spring Drive (near Gastrointestinal Associates)
Please note these stops will only be serviced Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM.
