Knoxville, TN – March 4, 2024 – In an ongoing effort to facilitate voter participation in Knoxville, KAT is pleased to announce fare-free rides all day on Election Day, Tuesday, March 5, 2024.
Isaac Thorne, Director of Transit for the City of Knoxville, emphasizes, “Transportation should never be a barrier to voting. We are committed to ensuring that all Knoxvillians have easy access to polling locations on Election Day.”
Passengers can plan their trip to the polls through the free Transit app, by using the trip planner feature on the homepage of www.katbus.com, or by calling KAT’s customer service at 865-637-3000.
To ensure smooth access to voting, KAT encourages passengers to plan their trips early, as some routes may conclude before the polls close. To find your voting location, visit www.KnoxVotes.org.
