Buy and Use Mobile Tickets
Before you head out, make sure you know what route or routes you’ll need, where your bus stops are and what time the bus should be arriving / departing. There are several ways to plan your trip:
You can use our official app, Transit, to get step-by-step directions to where you want to go, the Google trip planner, as well as our maps and schedules.
You can also call our Transit Agents at 865-637-3000. Our agents are available Monday-Friday, 5am- 10pm, Saturdays 6am – 10pm, and Sundays 8am – 5pm.
You are also welcome at Knoxville Station, on Church Avenue. Here, our Transit Agents will be happy to assist you.
Google Trip Planner Tool
KAT has partnered with Google Transit, a public transit trip-planning feature of Google Maps. Just enter your start and end point (You may need to list Knoxville, Tennessee within the option fields to narrow your search.), the date and time you want to arrive at your destination, and click “Go” to begin your trip. The trip planner will provide you with the options to get there using KAT fixed routes.
Additional Options & Features:
- Planning by departure time or arrival time
- Walking directions to assist you in reaching your destination once you get off the bus
- Street views to help you find the closest transit stop and become familiar with your destination before you get there
