About the Program
KAT and the University of Tennessee are partnering to provide free rides for UT Students, Faculty, and Staff.
Beginning, Monday, August 12, 2024, show your VOL CARD (physical or digital card) to your bus operator when boarding to utilize this program.

Semester Pass Program (Discontinued)
The Semester Pass program has been discontinued, effective March 1, 2024. Current passes will still be accepted on our buses; however, they will no longer be available for purchase.
The Semester Pass discount equated to unlimited rides for $1 a day for 130 consecutive days. This value is still available by purchasing 30-day passes (unlimited rides for $1 a day for 30 consecutive days).
The most convenient way to purchase a 30-day pass is through mobile tickets in the Transit app. The app is FREE to download, and once purchased, the passes are scanned on the bus from within the Transit app on your phone. For more information on how mobile tickets work, please click HERE.
