Using Fixed Routes to Get To (and From) a Vols Football Game
Every year, hundreds of Vols fans use public transit to get to the game and back home. Our fixed routes allow passengers to enjoy football games at the Neyland Stadium in a way that’s safe, easy and affordable.
To help fans get there, Knoxville Area Transit has created Passenger Playbooks: special color-coded cheat sheets to get to and from the game using five key routes. The special ‘Passenger Playbooks’ include information on travel time, where to catch the bus along the route, cost, and how to get back after the game.
Passenger Playbooks have been created for routes along the following corridors (click on each one for detailed information):
All routes connect over to Cumberland, putting fans just two blocks from the stadium.
PLEASE NOTE: The last trip on these routes departs at 11:15 p.m. However, in case of a later evening or overtime game, that time could be extended. Make sure to follow us on and for live game day updates.
Cost of the Rides: Day Passes and Wristbands
For passengers going to Vols games, KAT recommends two options:
- Day Pass: The $4 pass ($2 for seniors 65 and older, persons with disabilities, and students age 18 and under with proper ID) provides unlimited rides all day on all bus routes.
- Wristbands: Our $6 wristbands provide access to all fixed routes as well as .
To avoid last minute issues, we recommend passengers to buy their game day passes or wristbands at Knoxville Station’s Customer Service Counter, 301 Church Avenue prior to the game. Both these items are available for purchase starting the week prior to game day.
