Route 45: Vestal will begin a temporary to permanent detour starting on Monday, April 22, 2024. The route will serve Flenniken Ave outbound and inbound from Maryville Pk and Martin Mill Pk.
Outbound: From Blount Ave, left on Maryville Pk, right on Flenniken, right on Martin Mill to regular route
Inbound: From Martin Mill, continue straight, left on Flenniken, left on Maryville Pk, right on Blount Ave to regular route

Route 45: Vestal is on a short-term detour due to utility work at the corner of Avenue A and Martin Mill Pike.
Outbound: From Avenue A, left on Immanuel, right on Ogle, right on Martin Mill, left on Young High Pike to regular route
Inbound: From Young High Pike, right on Martin Mill, left on Ogle, left on Immanuel, right on Avenue A to regular route
Stops affected: Avenue A EB @ Martin Mill, Martin Mill SB @ Avenue A, and Martin Mill NB @ Young High Pike. Please catch bus at Immanuel and Avenue A.

Currently Operating on a Reduced Service Schedule
Due to our on-going workforce shortage, Route 45: Vestal is on reduced service:
- Service once an hour and reduced weekday and Saturday service ending with a last trip at 9:15 p.m. Restored last inbound trip on weekdays and Saturdays.
- New routing to improve on-time performance: Route 45 will take the Gay Street Bridge outbound and inbound. No longer serves the Downtown Public Library.
- Removing a 1-block diversion on Route 45 – Vestal along Flenniken.*
*Beginning Monday, April 22, 2024, this routing will be added back into the route to ensure ease of access for community residents. The bus stops will be at Maryville Pk @ Flenniken, and Flenniken @ Maryville Pk.

Snow Route
No service on Blount Avenue, Maryville Pike or Flenniken Avenue. No service into Montgomery Village.
Severe Snow Routes
If weather conditions become severe, KAT may begin running on Severe Snow Routes. When this happens, service will ONLY be provided on the major corridors of Knoxville. This includes: Route 11: Kingston Pike (to Walker Springs), Route 12: Western Avenue (to I-640 Plaza), Route 22: Broadway (to Essary), Route 31: Magnolia Avenue (to Burns), and Route 41: Chapman Highway (to Walmart).
During Severe Snow Routes, all passengers ride free, but please note: KAT can return to Snow Routes before a passenger’s return trip and the passenger will be required to pay regular fare for that portion of the trip.
