What is 2-1-1?

2-1-1 is a FREE service that provides one-on-one travel assistance and training to Knoxville residents. Our travel trainers help you ride KAT with confidence to medical appointments. KAT works with local medical providers, including Cherokee Health Systems, to help you get to medical appointments independently and on time. 

How much does it cost?

2-1-1 services are free. You can call 2-1-1 for advice and tips on taking KAT to medical appointments. 2-1-1 can help plan the best route for you. Even better, our travel trainers provide you with one-on-one training, including riding the bus with you the first time!

How do I use 2-1-1?

Just call us. 2-1-1 is available by phone daily from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. If you’d like to meet with a travel trainer for one-on-one assistance, you can schedule by calling 2-1-1.
